2025 Ram Rampage Small Unibody Pickup Truck Revealed for "America"

But this little truck isn't launching in the Northern Hemisphere.

Not everyone wants a truck as big as the Ram 1500, which is why whenever there's mention of a smaller Ram with a pickup bed people get excited and assume it's the new Dakota. Just recently, Ram launched a new small pickup truck called the Rampage that's set to go on sale in "America," but the U.S. isn't getting it. Let us explain ...

2025 Ram Rampage: Designed by U.S., not for U.S.

That's because this small, unibody Ram Rampage pickup truck is only being sold in South America—specifically Brazil and Argentina—for now. The Rampage was first teased in April of this year with a four-part series of short videos on YouTube detailing its new interior, the technology, and other small details on this unique pickup truck.

2025 Ram Rampage: Li'l Hurricane

The Rampage is powered by the 2.0-liter turbocharged Hurricane I-4 that was developed for the U.S. market. While this engine shares the Hurricane name with the I-6 found in the Jeep Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer (and potentially in the Ram 1500 as its V-8 replacement), the 2.0-liter engine is part of the Global Medium Engine family of I-4 engines.

2025 Ram Rampage: Small But Mighty

At 272 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque, the twin-scroll turbo I-4 lives up to the Hurricane name. According to Ram, the Rampage R/T can hit 62 MPH in 6.9 seconds and tops out at 137 mph (the other models top out at only 130 mph). The Rampage R/T with the Hurricane I-4 will come with dual exhaust tips.

2025 Ram Rampage: It Gets A Diesel, Too

On top of the Hurricane I-4, the Ram Rampage will also be equipped with the 2.0-liter Multijet Turbo Diesel I-4. This engine is capable of 170 hp and 280 lb-ft of torque, which are impressive figures.

2025 Ram Rampage: Nice Interior

Despite its U.S. design influences (especially the American Flag tail lights), the interior isn't besieged by a long, tablet-like infotainment screen as we see in the 1500. The Rampage's infotainment is a sleeker unit and really shows that this will be a luxurious and technologically advanced pickup for the South American market. There is also an optional Elite Package that adds ambient lighting, a Harman Kardon sound system, and a motorized passenger seat for $1,259 (6,000 Brazilian Real).

2025 Ram Rampage: AWD With 9-Speed Auto

All Rampage models will get a 9-speed automatic with a similar rotary dial as found on the Ram 1500. It will also get paddle shifters for manual operation.

2025 Ram Rampage R/T

The Ram Rampage R/T is billed as the sportiest version of the Rampage and that's shown by its acceleration and top speed numbers mentioned above. As such, it gets a dual exhaust system and a "Sport" setting that changes the accelerator response, steering response, and shift points.

Other 2025 Ram Rampage R/T Differences

Other amenities include a leather and suede interior with Ruby Red stitching, gloss black roof, a sports suspension, and 19-inch gloss black wheels. The sport suspension lowers the Rampage by about 0.4 inch (10mm) while its wheels are wrapped in 235/55R19 tires.

2025 Ram Rampage Laramie

The Laramie package comes with either the Hurricane I-4 or the Multijet I-4, and selecting the diesel engine increases its load capacity from 1,654 pounds on the gasoline version to 2,238 pounds. It also gets a set of 18-inch wheels wrapped in 235/60R18 tires.

2025 Ram Rampage Laramie: Mountain Brown

Inside, the Laramie gets finished in Mountain Brown leather on the seats and trim panels. It and all other Rampage trims will get Ram Connect, which debuted in Brazil on the Ram 1500 Limited just last month.

2025 Ram Rampage Rebel

The final trim available for the 2025 Ram Rampage is the Rebel, which can also come with either a diesel or gasoline powerplant. As the off-road version of the Rampage, it gets a set of 17 inch wheels with all-terrain tires in 235/65R17 for the diesel and "all-terrain plus" tires on the gasoline version in the same size.

2025 Ram Rampage Rebel: All Black Inside

The interior of the Rampage Rebel gets black leather on its seats, steering wheel, door panels, and center arm rest. It also closely follows the design language of the Ram 1500 Rebel exterior and are exclusive to the Rebel trims.

2025 Ram Rampage: Not For U.S.

If you're hoping that this will come to the U.S. at some point as the new Dakota, don't get your hopes up. The 2025 Ram Rampage is a small pickup that's made for the unique requirements of its South America local markets.

2025 Ram Rampage: Badge

We don't expect this to touch U.S. soil unless someone from Brazil drives one all the way up here.

2025 Ram Rampage: On Sale This Summer

If you're in Brazil, you'll be able to order the 2025 Ram Rampage starting on June 22 and roll out in August. Rampage owners will also get an opportunity to use the Mopar 3D Lab with free designs for 3D printed accessories including vintage Ram hood ornaments used between the 1930s and 1980s that can be attached to the bottom of the center console floor.

2025 Ram Rampage: How Much Is It?

While it's a small pickup, its price won't start small. The 2025 Ram Rampage starts at $50,370 (239,990 Brazilian Real) for the Rebel Diesel and $52,469 for the Hurricane I-4 version. The Laramie Diesel starts at the same cost as the Rebel Hurricane but the Hurricane version is another $2,098 (or $54,568) and the R/T Hurricane is $56,667 (there is no diesel option for the R/T).
